Metallica Fans beware, because this is truly special: as one of the few dealers in the world, we have received the Gibson Custom Shop 1979 Flying V. This guitar is an exact replica of Kirk Hammett's very first Gibson guitar. He used the original for a number of early Metallica classics such as Kill' Em All, Ride The Lightning and Master Of Puppets. Hammett bought the Flying V because he was looking for a fuller sound, and it's no surprise that he ended up with this guitar. Because what a fat sound! Like the original, this replica sounds muddy thanks to 1-piece mahogany body and T-Type Humbuckers. Only 200 copies were built by the very best luthiers from the Gibson Custom Shop, with authentic, precise aging by the Murphy Lab. And what's totally cool: the included certificate of authenticity is signed by Kirk Hammett himself!
