This guitar is an exact replica of Kirk Hammett's very first Gibson guitar. He used the original for a number of early Metallica classics such as Kill' Em All, Ride The Lightning and Master Of Puppets. Hammett bought the Flying V because he was looking for a fuller sound, and it's no surprise that he ended up with this guitar. Because what a fat sound! Like the original, this replica sounds muddy thanks to 1-piece mahogany body and T-Type Humbuckers. Only 200 copies were built by the very best luthiers from the Gibson Custom Shop, with authentic, precise aging by the Murphy Lab. And what's totally cool: the included certificate of authenticity is signed by Kirk Hammett himself!
