All-tube head with two channels, Crunch mode and Nomod function, including footswitch and gig bag
With the Victory Amplifiers V30 The Jack MKII, the British amp manufacturer renames its extremely popular "The Countess" head, reflecting the versatility of the circuit developed with Guthrie Govan. As a true "Jack of all trades", the handy head convinces with a particularly versatile all-round sound spectrum from crystal-clear cleans to creamy distortion. To adjust the sound, the Victory V30 The Jack not only offers a shared tone stack for both channels, but also the Nomod switch, which switches between the bass voicings of the Countess MKI and Countess MKII models. Up to 42 watts of power from two 6L6 tubes promise stage-ready volume reserves. Last but not least, a serial FX loop and a BIAS range switch for switching to EL34 tubes complete the Victory Amplifiers V30 The Jack MKII.
Great variety of sounds with two channels
The heart of the V30 The Jack MKII head is undoubtedly the versatile preamp circuit with four 12AX7 tubes, which transforms the handy guitar amp into a jack of all trades. The clean channel of the Victory The Jack not only convinces with its enormous headroom for transparent clean sounds, but also reaches juicy overdrive regions when the crunch mode is activated. The overdrive channel, on the other hand, offers significantly increased gain reserves that allow the amp to deliver creamy distortion for crunchy riffing and singing leads. In addition to the shared 3-band EQ for both channels, the Victory V30 The Jack MKII also offers the Nomod mode, which alternates between the loose low end of the Countess MKI amp and the tight bass foundation of the Countess MKII. Last but not least, the amp features a serial FX loop for integrating your own effects devices.
Power amplifier featuring two 6L6 tubes and low-power mode
The power amplifier of the Victory Amplifier V30 The Jack MKII draws up to 42 watts of power from two 6L6 tubes, providing the compact head with a powerful and assertive guitar sound for band rehearsals or club gigs. If desired, the optional low-power mode reduces the output to 7 watts, causing the head to drift into the cherished power amp saturation earlier and also cutting an excellent figure as a living room amp. For friends of the prominent British sound, there is the option of exchanging the power amp tubes for EL34s, whereby a BIAS range switch and external BIAS measuring points help.
