Available exclusively to the affordable Sterling by Music Man range, the Cutlass HS Short Scale is a unique instrument that features a manageable 24" scale neck - apt for players with smaller hands or simply those who prefer a "slinkier" feel from their strings.

Lightweight Construction

Sterling by Music Man's Cutlass HS features a lightweight Poplar body that serves as a balanced tonal foundation for its versatile humbucker/single-coil pickup configuration. The body is joined to a comfortably-shaped Hard Maple neck, which brings out plenty of upper mid-range bite and top-end vibrancy - giving notes a snappy and immediate response.

Short Scale Design

The Cutlass HS boasts a modest 24" scale length. With less string tension than the conventional 25.5” electric guitar scale length (used on the standard Cutlass), this shorter instrument offers a much looser feel as less strain is exerted on the strings; making them easier to fret and even bend. This, combined with the frets being much closer together, means that the Sterling by Music Man Cutlass HS feels almost effortless to play.

Versatile Pickup Configuration

The pairing of a thick-sounding humbucker in the bridge position and a spanky neck single-coil gives you an all-encompassing range of tones. While the humbucker is apt for use with overdriven and high-gain amp settings, the single-coil provides a sparkly and lush voice with clean tones. A three-way switch provides a set of unique pickup combinations too, providing you with flexible blended sounds!
