Walrus Audio brings an inspiring effect in the form of this ERAS Five-State High-Gain Distortion. In fact, this stompbox has a five-position switch that allows you to choose between different modes. Each setting changes not only the sound through different clipping options, but also the way the pedal reacts. So you go from brutal chugs to face-melting shreds. There's even an active boost/cut for bass and treble, so you can make the ERAS work best with your guitar and different types of pickups. Designed by Adam Forster, the artwork depicts a mythical winged bull with four horns.
ERAS with blend control
A notable addition for a distortion pedal is the blend control, which allows you to mix between the full clean signal or full distortion. By using your clean signal, you can enhance clarity of individual notes. In addition, the blend controls make "stacking" effects very easy. For example, you can use a boost, overdrive or other distortion pedal in front of the ERAS to create a unique mix.
