The Grand Orchestra is Taylor's largest body shape and is suitable for heavy strumming. The 818e has Taylor V-Class bracing, which results in higher volume, longer sustain and improved intonation. The guitar's rosewood back and sides ensure powerful bass and brilliance in the treble. The Sitka spruce top provides the dynamism. Taylor's own active ES2 dynamic piezo system with bass, treble and volume controls is used as the pickup.
