The Suhr Shiba Drive is a high-quality overdrive that guitarists can use for thick rhythm tones and warm leads. This American stompbox can be used with both the clean channel and the overdrive channel of your amp. The Shiba Drive has a strong midrange, so you can be sure that your tone pings well through the mix. Thanks to the intuitive tone control with knobs for drive, level and tone, this overdrive is easy to use.
Shiba Drive with Smooth switch

 

A valuable addition to the Suhr Shiba Drive is the Smooth switch. This mini-switch has three positions. In the left position, the treble is rolled off slightly. This allows you to give a guitar with single-coil pickups a warmer sound. The middle position offers a natural, open sound. For thick rhythm tones and violin-like leads, the right position is definitely worthwhile.
