Suhr's Koko Boost is a unique boost pedal that not only has a clean boost, but also a midrange boost function. You select a frequency and then boost it to extend your amp range, or the range of your overdrive/distortion pedals. The ‘Boost’ function is meant to give your amp a boost without ‘colouring’, i.e. a transparent, clean boost of the signal already present. The ‘Mid’ button gives you access to the amount of mid boost in combination with the ‘Freq’ switch that is added to the boosted signal. The ‘Freq’ switch has the following settings: left (Mids), mid (High Mids) and right (Low Mids).
Additional advanced functions

Advanced features you will further encounter on the back of the pedal include a ‘Selectable Bypass Mode’, which gives you access via an internal switch over a transparent buffer or true bypass function. The ‘FX Link’ option provides options for external switching of the pedal through a loop switcher or pedalboard. Finally, the ‘Low Battery Monitor’ indicates the status of the battery in use and when it should be replaced. Also useful is that when the battery is completely dead, the Koko Boost automatically switches to true bypass mode.
