With Suhr's Koji compressor, you can really go either way. The compression pedal leaves your source sound 100% intact and has a fully analogue circuit. So without affecting your source sound in any way, you can choose vintage or modern sounds. With the ‘Mix’ button, you decide how transparent (or not) you want the Koji to sound. This knob actually acts as a parallel compressor. With the ‘Voice’ switch you set the type of compression; left gives you a boost in the high/mid frequencies to get more attack in your attack, centre gives you a transparent, flat response and with the switch in the right position you get a boost in the mid and high frequencies that gives you that ‘glassy’ and smooth sound for leads or semi-overdriven sounds.
Multi-functional LED and advanced features

The LED on the Koji compressor indicates more than just whether the pedal is on or off. For instance, the LED has three colours and each colour indicates the degree of compression, also known as gain reduction. When the LED indicates the colour green, this means minimal gain reduction. With orange, this is an average gain reduction and red a significant gain reduction. So you can quickly and easily operate the switch with your foot and determine how much compression you want. Advanced features, are Selectable Bypass Mode, FX Link and Low Battery Monitor. An internal switch lets you put the Koji in true bypass or buffered bypass mode. FX Link allows you to switch from an external controller and the Low Battery Monitor indicates the status of the battery in use and automatically puts the pedal into true bypass mode when the battery is (almost) dead.
