MXR's M132 Super Comp is a full-featured guitar compression pedal. This incredibly rugged pedal improves the sustain of your guitar, just like the brand's other reference, the Dyna Comp Compressor. The main difference between the two is that the Super Comp has an attack control that allows you to keep the bite and strength of your attack.

Using the M132 Super Comp
Like the Dyna Comp, the M132 Super Comp can handle high input levels, like that of active EMG humbuckers, for example. It then compresses the incoming sound, after which you can adjust the level of compression with the sensitivity control. With too much compression at the beginning of your attack, dynamics and nuances are lost. That's why the M132 has an attack control that allows you to adjust the initial compression separately. Finally, you can use the output knob to adjust the overall volume.
