With the Music Man Cutlass HT Brulee, the Californian company sends a versatile electric guitar into the race, whose coherent concept combines classic vintage appointments with modern amenities in terms of playability and sound shaping. Based on a Music Man design from the Seventies, the Cutlass features a sweepingly styled alder body and five-bolt roasted maple neck with a pleasing wax-oil finish. Three heat-treated Music Man Cutlass HT single-coils with typical 5-way switching provide a multi-faceted sound spectrum at the guitar amplifier for sparkling cleans and crisp leads that sound particularly transparent and free of ambient noise thanks to the innovative silent circuit. A Music Man Modern Tremolo and Schaller M6-IND locking machine heads complete the Cutlass HT Brulee from Music Man.

Traditional construction with optimal playing characteristics

For the construction of the Cutlass HT, Music Man relies on a traditional construction method with high-quality woods, which promises resonance-friendly sound characteristics and optimal playing conditions. Under the noble brulee finish the electric guitar hides an alder body, while for the fivefold bolted neck roasted curly maple with a particularly intensive grain is used. The sculpted neck joint and the silky oil-wax neck finish guarantee unhindered playability up to the highest registers.

Custom Pickups and Silent Circuit

As pickups for the Music Man Cutlass HT Brulee, the Luthiers from San Luis Obispo chose three Music Man Cutlass HT single-coil pickups that have been treated with an innovative heat treatment and feature an additional switchable boost function. At the guitar amplifier, the electric guitar accordingly delivers a wide range of first-class sounds with extended dynamic range and increased output, which convert sparkling cleans with the coveted snap just as skillfully as juicy Overdrive for lively riffs and singing solos. Another sonic highlight is the Music Man Silent Circuit, which guarantees a transparent sound without the usual noise of a single reel.

Indestructible hardware

Last but not least, Music Man's Cutlass HT Brulee is completed by an indestructible hardware set-up with modern functionality and classic Style. The bridge used here is the Music Man Modern tremolo mounted on two pins, whose large chevron cover provides a pleasant surface for resting the handball, while string saddles made of bent sheet steel support the traditional sound character. For optimal intonation, the strings are first guided over a compensated saddle on the headstock before they are held by the precise and tuning-stable Schaller M6-IND locking machine heads.
