General
This Meinl Cocktail Cajon is actually part of a complete kit, but is also playable separately! The cajon has a rail on the bottom to which you can connect a bass drum pedal, making it function as a bass drum, so to speak. The front plate, made of Baltic Birch birch wood, responds with a punchy kick sound as two ports are made on the back of cajon. The cajon is also equipped with a pickup and 6.3 mm jack output, making it connectable to a PA system.
Meinl Cocktail Cajon Kit.
The Cocktail Cajon is easily expandable to a full kit. An alternative would be the Meinl Cocktail Cajon Kit, of which this cajon is a part. Do you find this kit just a bit too much of a good thing or do you prefer to mount different parts on it? Then use the clamps on the Cocktail Cajon to fit three 3/8-inch percussion holders, so you can put together your own kit.
Tips or comments about this product
Please note that this cajon comes without accessories. You only get the cajon, so no pedals, cables or extensions.
