Manson GEO “Mask" Limited Edition Guitar
Manson Guitar Works are proud to announce the release of the Manson MB GEO Mask Edition, a faithful recreation of Matthew Bellamy’s unique metal paint finished multi-angled guitar as used on the Will Of The People tour in 2023. The guitar origins started with an idea that would revolve around the angles and geometry of radar-deflecting aeroplane technology. Working such ideas into a production instrument was exceedingly time consuming and required multiple attempts to perfect since this would become a production instrument. Struck by the unique design, Matt instructed his tech Chris Whitemyer to integrate the guitar into the set as soon as possible, making its first public appearance in Austria on 3rd June 2023.
This production run is an identical replica of Bellamy’s WOTP stage guitar, with the small detail that the original had backplates engraved with the employee names of Manson Guitar Works; the GEO Mask editions feature a backplate reflecting its limited status with a serial number marking and WOTP logo. The unique style, look and sound of the instrument made an immediate impact and it was included not only as a set-opener for the WOTP tour but was soon included on several other songs during the band set.
The GEO Mask Edition’s unique shape is backed by the same top-spec hardware and electronics that grace the majority of Bellamy’s stage guitars comprising a Sustainiac Stealth Pro sustainer system and Manson’s popular in-house pickup model, the PF-1 MB. Gotoh 5 series hardware and a high-polish version of the Manson custom hardware control knob complete the specification.
For our V2 version, Manson Guitar Works decided to pull out all the stops for a package like no other. The guitar itself is upgraded to a 5A flame, figured, roast maple neck and will be shipped in a road-ready UK-made Protechnic flight case custom cut to protect the GEO Mask Edition instrument and some very special extra features within the case. These include a Manson Premium special edition GEO logo strap, complete with Schaller Strap Lock system and a selection of our limited-run GEO plectrums. A laser etched certificate, individually numbered onto mirror reflective material identifies each guitar and an exclusive limited edition colour print accompanies each guitar and is hand-signed by the artist. This creates a unique package of a limited number of highly exclusive guitars, that rather than being a reproduction of an artist model represent a continuation run, created by the same team members on the same jigs and machinery utilising identical material stock.
Finally, we wanted to create the ultimate package for our guitar customers and went one step further with our V2 version. You’ll note this features a second box. And just as the guitar is a continuation of the actual instrument created for Bellamy it was decided we would commission a run of the actual face mask used for the stage shows. Same designer, creator and materials in every detail, never to be re-issued or recreated again.

The Manson Geo Mask Edition has been manufactured to match the original finish on the guitar used by Matthew Bellamy for both stage and studio performances, and as such has been thoroughly checked over by the MGW team to ensure it matches that same high specification before shipping to the customer. However, due to the nature of this distinct finish and to acheive the same appearance as specified by the artist, there may be some minimal imperfections and variations between instruments and these are considered normal.
