Dave Friedman is really good at packing the sound of his big amps in handy lunchbox tops at a moderate volume. The JJ Junior is a shrunk Jerry Cantrell JJ amp. There are 2 channels available: a spartan clean channel, only equipped with volume potentiometers and a bright switch, delivers crystal-clear clean sounds with classic vox style chime. The distorting channel then really gets down to business: harmonious, oppressive lead sound with very good dynamics - like the "Big Brother". In addition to being used as an amp for club gigs and for the rehearsal room, the JJ Junior is also ideal as a recording amp. Dave Friedman has given the JJ its tried-and-tested, switchable speaker simulation - operation of the top without a box is possible.
