Epiphone and the Gibson Custom Shop present the Inspired by Gibson Les Paul electric guitar. The chic solidbody has plenty of surprising CS-style features, but at a much friendlier price than similar equivalents from parent company Gibson. The mahogany body sits solidly glued to a comfortable-feeling 50s Rounded C guitar neck in 1 piece of the same material, on which you'll actually find a dark ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl position blocks as a matter of course. All this in that beloved luxury dinner jacket style look with gilt hardware and even a Gibson-style open book headstock with that classic split-diamond inlay. A sturdy hardshell case with a gilt interior comes as standard, by the way.

Les Paul Custom: 498T and 490R humbucker plus more quality upgrades
That warm sound foundation is given just enough bite by the curved maple top on the mahogany guitar body. To give this Epiphone LP high-quality amplification, Gibson supplies a pair of its own humbuckers. At the bridge, you'll find the 498T Hot Alnico pickup with its extra windings for more sustain, a touch more high mids and better distortion. In the neck position, you'll encounter the 490R Modern Classic element for those PAF-style sounds without annoying side noises. To send this high-quality to your amp, everything is hand-wired and you'll find CTS potentiometers, Mallory capacitors and output and 3-way switch from Switchcraft under the bonnet. Grover Rotomatic tuners and solid LockTone bridge hardware completes this Les Paul Custom.
