From DSM & Humboldt comes the Drive/Preamp Engine, an effects pedal that can be used as a transparent drive, as well as a full-fledged preamp. With enough tonal versatility to satisfy almost any guitarist.

With a completely new design by DSM & Humboldt, this is a pedal that allows you to go from warm jazz to cutting edge rock in no time. A complete analog circuit but with a variety of tone that rivals simulators but with a fast response and great dynamics.

The 'mode switch' allows you to switch between a transparent drive, which is adjustable via various switches, a traditional preamp that you can send directly to a power amp, or a 'mid boost' for a warmer tone. There is also a double boost built into the pedal. This particular circuit gives you the option to choose between a pre-boost for more gain and compression or a master boost for more output.
