It doesn't take long to realize that the Cuenca 70-R is one of the brand's masterpieces. The Spanish guitar makers used solid German spruce for the top and solid Indian rosewood for the back and sides. We're dealing here with a 100% solid classical guitar, which translates into an exceptionally rich sound and very good durability over time. While the wood types used look great in their own right, the deluxe gold-plated tuning machines add an extra touch of chic.

Cuenca 70-R: a warm sound

Even more than with electric guitars, the types of wood used to build an acoustic guitar greatly determine its tone. The Cuenca 70-R's German spruce top offers more volume than cedar, for example, as well as brilliant highs and great dynamics. The solid Indian rosewood used for the back and sides, on the other hand, lends this classic guitar a warm character on the basses for a very well-balanced sound across the entire sound spectrum.
